Sanderson X National Trust Lophura Chintz Bedding
Taken from an archive document and with its classic chinoiserie appeal, block printed pheasants, flowers and leaves adorn this stylised Sanderson fabric, now transformed into luxurious bedding set. In the early 18th century, Chinese prints and paintings were used increasingly within British country homes. Today, the National Trust looks after the largest collection of historic Chinese wallpapers on permanent public display in the world. Created in the softest English Grey for this bedding design, the set is made from 180 thread count cotton percale and features the leaf and bird trail on the front with a delicate stylised leaf design on the reverse.

ABOUT SANDERSON
Since 1860, Sanderson has encapsulated quintessential British design. Lending its iconic florals and timeless weaves to all kinds of homes across the nation.
The oldest brand in the Sanderson arsenal, from where they derive the namesake of their group, begun life in 1860, as an importer of fine French wallpapers to London. Arthur Sanderson & Sons Ltd played a pivotal role in defining English interior decoration tastes and its early success led to displaying designs at London’s finest showroom, at Berners Street. Around this time in 1924, Arthur Sanderson & Sons Ltd were awarded The Royal Warrant, becoming “purveyors of wallpaper and paint” to the court of George V.
