The ZonePad 1 is the perfect addition to your Zone mixer, offering easy remote control of an individual zone. Intuitive touch-sensitive controls are enhanced by a stunning, contemporary and professional design that suits any environment.
It connects to your Zone via CAT 5 cable (RJ45 connectors) and fits into a standard-sized wall box cutout.
True Remote Control
The ZonePad 1 offers an impressive amount of control over your chosen zone. Six panels on the faceplate allow for easy selection of up to 6 sound sources, whilst a contemporary volume dial with LED volume indicators offers full volume control.
To quote Optimal Audio’s example:
If you have installed Zone 4 in an office along with a streamer and a DAB radio for example, ZonePad 1 allows you to choose either the streamer or the DAB and adjust the volume of that source from within the room in which it is being heard. Just select the source you require on the ZonePad, adjust the volume knob up or down and you’re sorted. The illuminated graduations around the outside of the knob will give you a visual reference for your desired volume.
Press the centre button of the volume dial, marked ‘MUSIC’ to activate ‘MIC’ mode – allowing full level control for any microphones connected within the zone. There’s even a ‘Local Source’ switch on the panel that offers control of a source physically plugged into an input panel in the same room as the ZonePad – the audio from a laptop or projector for a presentation, for example.
