‘Autumn Colours at Loch Stenness’ on the Island of Orkney. Stenness is a location very near the Ring of Brodgar surrounded by reed filled lochs. I often wonder how the people at that time saw their surroundings. The colours in the print are those of the woven fabrics they made using the plants available in the landscape.
